How to Order DVD of LACHSA Opera Performance of the Beggar's Opera on November 16-17

Greetings LACHSA Music Families and Staff, With beautiful images and exquisite sounds of 18th century England echoing in our minds, we approach the upcoming holiday with immense pride and joy. At our Thanksgiving tables, let us declare our gratitude to -- our brilliant opera director and her dedicated co-workers the hard-working and creative parent volunteers the many benefactors who underwrite our fantastic music education program the professionals who run the historic Alex Theatre the audiences that brought their ardor and applause the brilliant creators of this rendition of Beggar's Opera - John Gay (1728) and Benjamin Britten (1948) And most of all, let's thank our children who put their hearts and souls on-stage this past weekend. It is the passion and promise of our young performers' that brings us full circle through the music, voice, and movement of the past to the glimmering vision of an awe inspiring artistic future. Fortunately, this vision need not fade in memory. The video editing is now underway with the aim of making DVD copies of the Matinee and Evening performances available to all of us who want them. Lupine Productions intends to have at least one of the shows ready for distribution before winter break; hopefully both. I've already heard from more than 30 families and teachers, many of whom want copies of both shows. Clearly the Beggar's Opera is a keeper!
